He was right

Yesterday was last chapter of one phase of my life, the relief teaching part.

It ended with a touching scene which i least expected. I was there for my one and only early lesson and was greeted my Mdm Goh and Mrs Tong. They told me they wanted to go for lunch with me on Thurs but i wasn't in school because of QET. And they have a tight schedule on yesterday so they had to give it a miss..I haven't told you the best part... However, they bought me a big box of rochers with a 'Thank You' note, Mdm Goh was saying that i bothered to send her a document even during my holidays and was very grateful. As for me, i've already forgotten about that incident and this made me realise a good deed or a good help goes a long way.I haven't told you the best part, and they shook my hands and wish me all the best when transiting into a new phase of my life. I could really cry at that moment, as i receive recognition from 2 seniors teachers who think that i have done a good job.

I haven't told you the best part yet.. Both of them were discussing about the carbon to hydrogen ratio and i was listening at the side and soon after that, i was included in the conversation. They starting flipping their books and explain to me what is it about and stuffs. Teachers, always willing to share knowledge and information. And now still, the best part, so Mdm Goh passed her book to me to read up on it and told me that i can have the book.. Oh my gosh, it is a freaking Organic Chem Textbook! She said that she has another edition at home so i can have it since i'll be taking chemistry. I was so touched, that this is a teacher that i only know for 4-5 months and she has never taught me, she actually give me such a good gift for my university! Mrs Tong then further explain the concept and wrote for me formulas to check for no. of unsaturation using the ratio, telling me how fortunate the school is to have me and hope that i can go back every holiday to teach. Isn't that really nice? har...

Relating this incident to last year, when i was still angry with God, that why nothing is going right in my life, especially job finding, that i don't seem to be able to get a job, whether is it the TCC job, or relief in my old secondary school, they were all nip in the bud. Only until the last day of the year, i was informed to go for interview at Woodgrove Primary at the beginning of school term. It wasn't my ideal idea teaching a primary school or going to Woodlands to teach, but it was there where life changing incidents happen. That experience moulded me and my passion to teach and enrich the students. And i aspire to be a teacher who can interact well with the students but at the same time, able to teach them the right knowledge and skills, disciplining them in the correct manner. And from Woodgrove to PJC, they were all a different experience altogether, but both tell me that i'm in the right track. Thank you, Father, know you have a way for me. I just wasn't brave and strong enough to execute it. I will, next time. =]

Back from late night dinner, and back from SOW'07 briefing. Decided that i will go with an open mind, willing to participate in the activites to know more friends and enjoy what the whole SOW has to offer. Talked to some seniors today, they are quite a fun group of people, like the deputy director Daune, who's pattern is like Mr Low. Hee.. also a senior called andrew who answers questions to chemistry.. going to bug him.. haa.. Feeling good that maybe many in the cohort going sci faculty are from PJC.. hee..

Oh ya, i watched vacancy wif kor today.. My gosh, so terrifying.. Definitely ppl are scarier than ghosts. 'Alone' is coming, wonder if i should watch cause most of the show i will be covering my face..

Tomoro gonna teach 3 classes on electrolysis and energetics. I tink i am prepared but still a little queasy cos its teaching JC2 tutorial.. Scary..

Last week, on my first day of work, i need to reach school around 8am, so i have to leave early, reaching the LRT station at 7.20am. There i saw an old lady standing near the gantry.

OL: Old lady not Office Lady
Me: Me

When i was approaching...
OL:帮我拿一份报纸好吗？
Me:Ok

When i was flashing my ezlink card, i couldn't get in because the card has no more value.
OL:没有钱的！

I quickly went to the machine to top up while... that old lady went bothering others to help her take. She just want her newspaper!! So i went in and took the newspaper for her.. When i passed it to her, she din even say anything and walk off, like i owe her the newspaper..

So yesterday, i have to go early again, at the same time same place i think.. yes i think (i cant really remember people) its her again, when i walked past her i could hear her asking me to help her take the newspaper, not one set but two sets!! I was listening to my mp3 so i pretended not to hear her and walked off.. Was evil but i think the newspaper are for commuters and not for cheapskate, even if you are an old lady...

Harry Potty & the fasT food Order

After parting Mer and Adel, was supposed to meet up with Ber, Wenting and Jie hUi and the rest. Then was being a bit fickleminded after that when told my presence shall be a surprise and also impromptu. Kinda of sian diao, i took the MRT back home instead, but after that was kinda persuaded to go, then dun wan, then want.. dotx.. In the end, i din go clubbing but went to look for them instead.

Indeed lar, wenting was wondering who tis guy in orange is when we were approaching, at least there was a surprise element. So we played TaboO! [ one of the words was potty] and seems that the losing team is enjoying the prize, baileys and vodka.. Orange tea is nice~ and when everyone started to get tired, wen ting and i started to play othello or otherwise known as reversi using 'Wei Qi'. Its quite exhausting to change the beads everytime you eat the other party and also playing it at 4am in the morning, instead of 64 squares, we played 144 squares. While playing, we were constantly listening to what Jie hUi and Randy were talking about, which pretty much scares me and shock us how scandalous students can be. Don't ask me who won the game in the end, counting beads at 6am in the morning is really bad, we both agreed that it was a draw, win-win situation.

With much chit-chatting and laughter happening, who would say that there's no fun at all? after trying hard to wake everyone, there was a session of cam-whoring [ always think that tis word is vulgar] and after lunching, i was sleeping on the whole journey home, that i can hear passengers beside me saying, 'look, he's sleeping...' luckily i din drool or do anything stupid.

Harry Potty & the fasT food Order

Scrap the part i had a wonderful rest on friday night and was moody while angered by the mahjong game [i was just unlucky], the next day was the much anticipated event of July, watching Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix with the Harry potter gang [Adel, Me and Mer] minus 2, namely Mark and Edna, due to one MIA and the other working. How pathetic was that when i cant even recognise Adel.. Was at the counter munching onto popcorn and nachos while a girl with curly hair waving and smilng at me, took me a while to realise that it is her, she now wears contacts and changed her ponytail to permed hair.. Can see how much people can change with time..

Before the movies, we all heard from others that it is one of the worst of Harry potter's series. And maybe because of that, i wasn't expecting a lot from it, and in the end makes it a bearable and quite ok movie. Don't really like Umbridge but think she is definitely hilarious, wherever she appears with her grin and her pinkish every little thing. And everyone has to agree that Dumberlore has style~ and Volermort looks so ugly, i thought Thomas looks fine when he appears in the 2nd movie. Yes! Face it, the dark LORD is back! Reading the book is so much more interesting though, lala..

After that, we were thinking of places to dine, first choice was Billy Bombers. Then we started discussing what we shall have instead of that, then when i suggest that we go to the cafe that serves pizza and baked rice [ supposedly not nice], they seemed to become more sure and confirmed that they want Billy Bombers. So to have varieties, we ordered 3 set dinners.

JOB

Having a job is important, that is why we have a book in the bible called Job. Just kidding.

I have signed the contract with MOE, was quite shocked that the liability for breaking the bond is $144,000 and that's quite a lot. And i have started working back at PJC, but not teaching already. Now more like doing admin, typing out questions, consolidating test questions and setting mock test papers. Time is now on my side, that i can choose what time to report as long as i fulfill my 5.5 hrs a day. And for the past 2 days, i am slacking, real slacking.
