How long can i move on like this?

Mum: I heard that in any church, they would take 10% of what you earn every month.
Me: Ya, but you can choose to give or not to give. No one is forced.
Mum: So did you?
Me (Walking away): No.
Mum (Voice becoming distant): Told you not to believe so much already, and you still go every week, so ON for what?

I lied. So, how long can i move on like this?
