All in A Nutshell

Too many things happened out of a sudden, so i'll just go thru it one by one quickly.

Caramel blended coffee, is that enough to last thru the nite? Well, don't have to..

First time having breakfast in Cafe Cartel. Had a very nice ham and cheese omlette, topped with muffin and bread, with a glass of milk. Dear dear had a mushroom and cheese omlette. Was quite full after the breakfast, still think that i would probably skip lunch..




But.. Went out with yimin and ck to Vivocity for lunch at Terra Cafe. had a super cheesy baked rice while they had chicken cultet and fish and chips. Was funny when Ck thot that the plate of wedges belonged to him when the waiter came to our table. Was walking around till we got tired, as usual. So we went to 'Super hotdog' for a drink. I think one of these days i should eat there, it seems like a cheaper Carl's Jr. They both had an iced mocha, which we think is worse than kopitiam's coffee. I had a good strawberry ice blended. =] Took some photos, funny enough..





After that, i went for dinner with dear dear and khor @ kopitiam, where i thot its the food court, but turned out to be a restaurant under the swissotel group. The first thing that caught my eye was the $9 roti prata. The ambience was really good, quite comfortable talking with khor, nice person. We ordered a meal for 2 and a chicken rice. Interesting conversation there =P Then went off for a late night mahjong game which i won $80.. was quite lucky actually.. Heavy rain that night..



Back to church again in a long time, the presence of God was lingering around me when i stepped into the church, that was a good feeling. But somehow part of me was hardened and refuse to surrender fully. Guess that it would take time for me to accept Christ again.. Went out with Char Leo Ray and Ym after that, Settlers' Cafe, where we play our favorite game, 'Ticket to ride'.. Was good to see them again, talking about what we are recently up to, to know more about what is happening in church and the cell group. Then i went to town to collect my altered pants. Waited 30 minutes for my strawberry smoothies, hee.. including 2 times which they gave me the wrong drink. Had hokkien mee and beef noodles for dinner and a nice dessert. No durian..~!



Tired, but the sacrifice of little sleep gives me so much happiness~!

Haa

Today something absurd happened to me..

I remembered myself getting slashed deeply.
1: I regret for not trying enuff with u.. giving u so much hurts..
2: Chey.. Is that all u wan to say?
1: wad do u expect?
After that, i got slashed again on the same wound..

Call this a regret.. i wished i wasn't so curious to listen at all..

What's with the service?

Something is wrong with services nowadays.. Was pretty shocked that although prices of food are going up, the quality of service is still the same, or even worse.

1.} Was buying takeaways for myself, sis and dad. A total of 3 packets all different ingredients, so i was chosing as i was ordering. The auntie wasn't very patient, as she was walking she was saying 'no more from this side already ar',' still got a not'.. Was pretty irritated by that attitude, and mumbling dunno what somemore..

2.} Bubble tea for my sis, so b4 me was a ger buying peppermint milktea, one of my favorites. The auntie was on the fone, and so she just anyhow pour an amt of peppermint syrup, that was gross lor.. anyhow make anyhow sell.. Where's the standard?? I was shocked..

What to do? Send them for lessons meh?

Life is like a box of chocolate, you never know what you'll get or when you'll get it.

Dunearn

Was back to Dunearn this morning to look for Mdm CHao, letting her know that i've been offered the teaching award and inviting her to the ceremony. Had a chat with her about teaching.. She has been promoted recently and going for some ceremony this weekend, and she was made to teach PW and CME.. A Chinese teacher teaching in English, how embarrassing can that be.. But i guess life comes with give and take, you have your fun and joy teaching, therefore you have to take in the late nights works, despair and pressure with work. I love a challenging life now.. Unlike in the past, rather be the one staying in a dead corner..

The pirate ship is available. The blur person has bought the tix to go on board, waiting to set off for the journey for endless riches and happiness, hoping that he will not be thrown off to the sharks. Along the way, there will be stormy days and hurricane. The pirate ship has to be better equipped and ready and the person has to be geared up too. Cant really go wrong when there's a map right? hee..

Keep it On

Went for an efficient shopping trip, got what I want except for that olive green shirt, don't seem to see it anywhere yet.. Carry on looking~!! Don't know what I should write here, but I feel great and happy these few days, guess it's the company~ Baked some banana chocolate chip muffins today, i think they looked great, smell good and taste superb! Self praise is no praise.. bleahx..

Blabbering

Just some blabbering before I start my day with some other work..

Went for a party which ck and i stayed for about 15mins, finding that it's rather awkward and we should be spending the time eating or shopping instead. And so, we had desserts, his treat, ironically just his desserts so being always late, i would already had spent a day waiting for him! However we only managed to find the shop with his great sense of direction, i remember walking to the garbage collection point behind the coffee shop.. haa.. i am famous for getting lost anywhere.. Still wondering why Chinatown is a famous stop for tourists.. If you want something more 'chinese', why don't you go to China?




Bought a book.. Yep! The book i've been looking for, the diary of Aya.. To my surprise, her mum also released a diary which tells us about her thoughts about Aya's condition and how she felt when she fought the illness side by side with Aya. Should take me some time to read because it is written in old chinese, and they are written vertically down and not horizontal..



Movie and dinner after that, had an enjoyable time with my 'date'.. dotx.. Feeling a bit guilty cause i agreed to watch it with someone else one.. but nevertheless, i'm glad i've watched it. Enjoying chocolates now~

ADHD

I have a serious problem. I don't really want to let go of the Pri 3 kid just because he has ADHD and learning difficulties. I don't want to shortchange him. I shouldn't give up on him just like that. But the practical me feels that it's only right that I stop tutoring him. Anyone else would do that. Who would want to teach with so much problems at such a low pay. It's true, low pay, long hours, loads of anger and unhappiness. Yet, this kid deserves a chance to be taught too. He needs to be understood and to be educated well. Not just dump him when we find problems with him. Think of it that parents dump their kid when they are born handicapped or wad, isn't that equally cruel. Was thinking about this equality thingy the whole time, nothing can ever be fairly treated, since this fairness is also made from humans. Everyone has a ruler in their heart. Different length and measurements. WHo can ever judge that what ever is fair. No one. No one can.

These are some of the things i read up.. doesn't give me any light yet..

talks excessively and has trouble engaging in activities quietly

What Is Dyslexia?

Busy

Was in school half the day doing nothing.. But I managed to keep myself occupied by compiling the revision for term 3 which is due only next week, and now its all done. Went to the bank to update account and to get the MOE giro form verified. Took me some time there and the teller was impressed that I'm teaching in a JC at a young age. =P Manage to know a few friends today and a new tuition deal.. A JC2 student and 2 Sec 4 students need Chemistry tuition.. Most probably would take the 2 Sec 4.. Easier to teach and will not need to throw in a lot of time.. Haa.. Extra pay.. Think by end of May need to tell May that I'm not teaching Yuva le.. Everytime I want to vomit blood teaching.. Not student's fault though, but don't know who to blame also.. I need to keep my weekdays free ba.. As for Gordon, still need to consider, cause I like the family.. haa..

Fun

Yet again, I find food on my table.. Had to ask around le.. 2nd time i see food on my table.. So i went over to Jeanette and saw the packaging of the food on her table.. Ah! its her.. haa.. Friendly teacher I know here who actually approached me and talked to me when I was new there. We even accompanied each other on the Staff Health and Fitness Day and had breakfast together. Sheis such a kind lady.. =]

Looking at my work, i tink i'm doing just fine.. Cant wait for holidays to come though..

Lazy Weekend

Was having a great weekend, by having a lazy Saturday by myself, staying at home, watching heroes up till ep 18. Finally realised that Clare's dad is a good guy and got to know more and more people with unique powers. Still think Clare is the most useful. Save the cheerleader, save the World! On Sunday, popped down to Jurong point for a movie 'SUnshine'. Went in the name of watching Michelle Yeoh kick ass but end up seeing her doing nothing except from crying when seeing the plants burnt up and dying the moment there's finally a close shot of her. She died in a yoga posture, cross legged with hands stretched forward holding on to the precious seedling that survived the fire. How pathetic can this be? A Sci-fi show turned Christian Blasphemy turned horror/alien movie.. Save the sun was just an illusion. Haa.. After that, went to 'surprise' M.J. at his surprise party. When we reached there, we were the ones feeling surprised, that the BBQ has not only his family members and church friends, also his sec sch and jc friends.. He's not even surprised. Where's the element of surprise? We were clapping hands and singing happy birthday song from far far away until we reached him.. Looked like a group dumb dumb.. haa.. But it was fun to see everyone again and talk about what we are doing and stuff.. Had fun telling Khoon about all the shows he watched, cause we watched further le, so jus spoilt his show lor.. haa.. And talked about '1 liter of tears', which i'm watching now, can cry.. was watching it in front of my mum, dare not cry lor.. will be quite weird.. now at ep 7 le.. getting more and more intense, crying more and more buckets.. Treasure people treasure life!


Was at Jurong Point and saw this treadmill competition for women. They had to run on the treadmill for 45min. Winner gets a set of exercising equipments worth $900 while the rest go back with a 'U-zap' thingy.. Imagine gym in a shopping centre.. [a bit like animal lei] =P

Listening to Avril Lavigne's 'When You're Gone'.. Feels very touchy suddenly.. need someone who can understand me.. Always been putting up a brave and strong front.. None of it feels like me.. Been protecting myself by not expressing too much and being emotionless.. But now this has become part of me.. I will try to be more expressive.. I must..

Received a phonecall from MOE, been accepted by them and given the MOE teaching award, can see the pathway in front of me.. yet again, i don't really have a feeling about it although i tink i felt happy.. i think

Singled Out

Haa.. Yet again, i'm single, i want to be. Life is short. Why limit myself? Why do i have to put up with such theories? I am myself, nothing gonna change much, unless i think it is appropriate.. Better put an end before situation gets sticky, can already foresee problems that are coming. Leave it..

Being single is so much more fun, the anticipation of meeting someone special, no restrictions in doing what you want, loving just thyself to the fullest, enjoying life. =]

Learning

Life is Skill with Experience..

3. Roots (If 1,2 fail, find the root of problem and treat it first)

Experience = Expe + rience
Expe can stand for Expectations, Expertise and Extra-ordinary..
rience means a lot.
Therefore, having experience = something special.

The first thing in life we learn is learn to learn.
Problem is people nowadays are refusing to learn.
SO we need 3 things:
1. Learning
2. Delearning
3. Relearning
In order to continue to serve in the workforce with excellence.

Never stop learning.. As long as my dear is willing to teach.
Life skills are meant to be learnt for a lifetime.

Mum was pointing out this article to me.. She's actually my grandma's sister, my relative. To think that the unfilial children are pushing her around and treating her badly. I feel that all seniors and elders are to be respected for they are experienced and we have a lot to learn from them. Undeniably, this relative is not someone easy to deal with, don't really like her though, but that does not mean she has to suffer. As children, don't we all love our parents? Especially the one that give birth to you and give everything else to you as well, your mother.. Where are your conscience people? And i so happen to see her daugther ytd, but din manage to talk to her. Thank God that my grandmother is well-loved and taken care of. I want people who i love to be living in happiness. If they are happy, i'll be contented. WIll not try to do anything to hurt them.

100th Post

This is already the 100th post.. Life has changed, time has changed, i'm the same old me, just older.. Haa.. Kidding, time has no power over me now.. I am living in bliss and happiness, embracing the coming of a brand new day, loving the way life is. Life is.. Great.
